About Brian

I was born and raised in Milwaukee, and I am a proud graduate of Milwaukee Public Schools. When my wife, Janet, and I became parents, we agreed that sending our child to public schools and supporting public education was a priority. After graduating from law school in 2010, I moved to Rwanda for a year to serve as a legal advisor to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Rwanda, and to assist with law reform projects supported by the U.S. Government. After returning, I continued my studies to earn a Masters of Information Science, and worked as a law librarian, and then a law professor at Ohio Northern University, and traveled overseas in Africa and Eastern Europe promoting the rule of law and government reform. As our daughter grew older, we decided to return home to Wisconsin and be closer to family, and were fortunate to find opportunities in Northeastern Wisconsin. Janet works for Medical College of Wisconsin-Green Bay, and I am an attorney and shareholder at the Everson Law Firm in downtown Green Bay.

When relocating here, we chose Ashwaubenon for its community and the schools, and are very happy we did! Our daughter is a fifth-grader at Pioneer Elementary School, which has been a great experience. Our high opinion of our personal experience is reflected in the large number of students who open enroll in our schools. I look forward to the opportunity to help continue the excellence in our schools, and help to continue to improve the experience for our students.
